Alleged N36m Fraud: Court To Rule On Blessing CEO’s Bail Application June 9

by Stallone

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has fixed June 9 for ruling on the bail application filed by popular relationship expert and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, who is facing allegations of fraud involving N36 million.

The social media influencer was arraigned on charges brought against her by the authorities, with prosecutors alleging her involvement in a fraudulent transaction amounting to N36 million. However, Blessing CEO has denied the allegations.

During the court proceedings, her legal team urged the court to grant her bail pending the determination of the case, arguing that she is entitled to the presumption of innocence under the law. The defence also maintained that the defendant would not interfere with investigations or evade trial if granted bail.

Counsel for the prosecution opposed the application, urging the court to consider the nature of the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the case before making a decision. After listening to arguments from both parties, the presiding judge adjourned the matter and scheduled June 9 for ruling on the bail application.

The case has continued to attract significant public attention due to Blessing CEO’s popularity on social media, where she has built a large following through her relationship advice, lifestyle content, and commentary on trending issues.

Legal analysts note that the upcoming ruling will determine whether the defendant remains in custody or regains her freedom while awaiting trial. Regardless of the outcome, the substantive case is expected to continue in court as prosecutors seek to prove the allegations against her.

The court’s decision on the bail request is expected to be closely watched by supporters, critics, and members of the public following developments in the case.
